Dirndlqueen is a fashion start-up that produces traditional dirndl dresses in original English patterns. Mixing the flattering dirndl cut with English heritage fabrics, including buttons, ribbons, tassels and trimmings, Dirndlqueen dresses are super-luxe, laid back, mash-up designs. Hello #FabricFriday
This weeks #FF designer is Erdem Kiziltoprak who translates scientific concepts, such as bacterial motility into textiles to create a hybrid language between science and design. By shining a light onto something normally invisible Erdem makes us appreciate its full beauty: the beauty of science.

Inspirations: Alex Prager
Alex Prager takes her cues from pulp fiction, the cinematic conventions of movie directors such as Douglas Sirk and Alfred Hitchcock and fashion photography. There is a very hefty dose of the 'Unheimlich' in her shots and we also love the distinctly Cindy Shermanesque take on her portraits of women.
